The polishing and chroming of a rear axle

The Axle as it was brought in to us

First of all the axle needs sand blasting to remove any rust or paint

Next the axle is polished using abrasives to prepare it for heavy copper plating

The axle is then polished to a near mirror shine before being nickle and chrome plated

After being nickle and chrome plated the axle is given a finishing polish
